I’m afraid I still have not hunted down my elusive memory card reader as yet, so I will have to find time this week to go buy a new one. In the meantime, here are some pictures already uploaded, one of which should give some idea of size for the four blossom tea sets highlighted in my entry last week.

cup01

This cup decorated with peach blossoms is about the same diameter and only slightly taller than the cups featured in the Plum Blossom, Orchid, Chrysanthemum and Bamboo tea sets.

Here is an excellent example of a good sized sieve for a tea cup.

This is identical to the cup I usually use in the office, and the sieve is actually almost as wide and almost as long as the cup itself, which has a double wall with vacuum in between, so the inside of the cup is a bit shallower than the outside. To show just how large the sieve is in relation to the cup, here is one where the sieve rests on the lid of the cup, which is how I normally put the steeped tea leaves aside. You can see that resting on the lid, the sieve is almost as tall as the cup itself.
