I never knew the tea sea could be bought at such a low price. I thought it would be more like hundreds of dollars. I would say it’s necessary for anyone serious about tea to have a dedicated place to make the stuff. I have a glass-topped table that can take a large amount of spilling with no problem. —Spirituality of Tea

‘Tea Sea’ (茶海) is actually the name of the pitcher used to pour the tea - the ‘faircup’ if you will. The bamboo box is a ‘cha pan’ (茶盘) - which translates into English as ‘tea tray’.
You don’t really need one to for brewing tea, though - a nice saucer placed on top of a thick, absorbent towel does a good job. Set a small wide-mouthed bowl to the side, and just dump the excess water that accumulates on the saucer into the bowl.Posted by teaguy on 09/11/18 at 06:43 PM -
